Sorry State Records presents a noise/punk extravaganza! Two killer bands from Europe, two projects from Raleigh… guitars, keyboards, noise, melody… what more could you want? Here’s what’s on tap.
One of my favorite bands of the past several years is finally coming to the US and they’re stopping in Raleigh! the UK’s Bad Breeding are a totally unique band, taking a lot of inspiration from classic UK anarcho punk and peace punk, but adding in an element of noise / power electronics that makes them sound like nothing that came before. It’s raw, political, experimental, and incredible. They have four full-length albums, but I particularly recommend checking out their latest one, Exiled, or their S/T debut LP:
Fatamorgana are from Barcelona, Spain, and they make dark and haunting pop songs from human voice and monophonic synthesizers. You may know the singer from her band Belgrado and you may know the synthesizer (synthesist?) from his other projects like Good Throb and the Shitty Limits. Bring your dancing shoes because these jams will make you cut a rug.
Raleigh noise / electronics!
Raleigh punk with members of No Love, Crete, and Girl Werewolf. They rule and they’re so new they don’t have any music online!
