UP UP AND AWAY ALBUM RELEASE TOUR
8/7 @ THE WICKED WITCH, RALEIGH NC
Taylor Kelly has a voice that blends both the smoothness and rhythmic nature of jazz, soul and funk. Her tasteful songwriting tells tales of truth in hopes to inspire many to love, live and let go. Also a trumpet player, she strives for an instrumental-vocal approach, a rhythmic phrasing and an improvisation that is reminiscent of many of her trumpet playing influences (Chet Baker, Roy Hargrove and Miles Davis to name a few). Her musical stylings are reflective of Erykah Badu and Stevie Wonder as they possess what she believes to be the true essence of music- harmonic complexity, strong melodic contour and lyrical honesty with an absolutely relentless underlying groove. Taylor has shared the stage with Moonchild, Becca Stevens, Bahamadia and Georgia Anne Muldrow. She releases her fourth studio album, Up Up and Away, on August 1st.

The Kids Downtown
Tre’ Mars is a hip hop artist from Raleigh who has established a soulful, funky, acid jazz band alongside The Kids Downtown. Influenced by all forms of creative hip hop, they invite you to come vibe with them to celebrate peace, love, and life.
Tha Materials (or Tha Mats for short) is a Soul Hip-hop Group based in Durham, NC. Established in 2012 by founding members Drummer JC Justice III, MC/Trumpet Cameron Tripp, & Trumpet Will Smith, Tha Mats came about from a mutual desire to create dope original music. Later additions to tha band were tha “Songbird” voice of singer/songwriter Raney Hayes, Travis Jones on Bass/keyboard, MC/songwriter Juteria Eaves, and most recently MC/ multi-instrumentalist L.O.Z.
They all attended North Carolina Central University and played and held leadership roles together in tha marching band and various other ensembles on campus. They are still a dedicated collective of multi-talented individuals. This unique combination of instrumental talent, dope lyricism, and creativity fostered Tha Materials’ style of positive, thought provoking, soulful music with “Ev’rything you need” to make you feel amazing. They have shared the stage with Moonchild, were a judges selection during the official BET Hip Hop Awards Weekend 2015 and performed in the 2016/17 Juneteenth and Art of Cool Festivals to name a few. “SPRING ST”, tha first single from their sophomore album as well as their debut studio album ‘314-One Stop Shop’ are currently available everywhere.
